Omnicom Media Group has appointed Paul Shepherd as chief investment officer for Asia-Pacific, effective 1 July.

Shepherd has been with OMG since 2013, and was most recently global vice president for platforms and capabilities in New York. In his new Singapore-based role, Shepherd will oversee the group’s trading and investment platforms across OMG’s 17 APAC markets, using his experience in managing the group's global programmatic offering.

Having previously worked in Sydney, Shepherd said he is excited to return to APAC “at such an exciting time”.

Shepherd’s appointment is the first OMG has made under new APAC group CEO Tony Harradine, who took over from Cheuk Chiang in April. Harradine said Shepherd has “exceptional global and regional experience”.
