Whitwam took on oversight of all three China offices—Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou—in January.

The company also named Jimmy Wong client services director in Shanghai, the role Suchanthabut formerly held. Wong was formerly business director for the agency’s Ford business, it's largest account.

Both will report to Whitwam.

Under their leadership, Wunderman Shanghai has grown sixfold in five years, making it the largest Wunderman office in the entire Asia-Pacific region, according to the company.

Suchanthabut joined the agency in 2009 to lead the agency’s Land Rover business. She has 15 years of experience expertise including event marketing, retail, digital, database marketing and CRM. Prior to joining Wunderman, she worked at both TBWA and Grey.

“Pornthip is one of the most dynamic and experienced integrated marketing experts in China,” Whitwam said in a release. “Her razor-sharp approach to strategy, together with her experience, passion and commitment has made her an instrumental part of our leadership team."

Wong served as business director for Ford since he joined the agency in 2008.
