As the new general manager of Isobar Beijing, Ho will steer the digital services offerings of the office while supporting business development, client servicing and operational teams.
Ho was hired from a non-digital agency (Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai where he was vice-president as well as business lead for KFC) for his integrated experience from brand consulting to creative communications and his "profound expertise in conventional advertising".
Christina Lu, the current GM of Isobar Beijing, will take on a new role as client partner of Isobar China Group, based in Shanghai. Her role is a new one, also meant to integrate resources across Isobar and other sister agencies under DAN to continue to win APAC regional work.
Both of them will report to CEO Jane Lin-Baden (林真), who said Isobar is "devoted to developing and cultivating ‘liquid talents’ with multiple backgrounds and abilities, seeking to become the most innovative and influential marketing agency".
Integration will be a major theme for Isobar to offer a more seamless experience to its cross-brand and cross-regional clients, added Lin-Baden. "We are a digital agency but we are trying to be an agency for the digital age".
Isobar is trying to achieve integration in a different way from other agency networks by having people coordinate across separate agencies within the parent network, she told Campaign Asia-Pacific.
