Cheil Worldwide launches global partnership with Appboy

The alliance will extend Appboy’s mobile marketing automation and CRM platform to Cheil clients, as well as provide Appboy clients with Cheil’s strategy, creative and analytics capabilities within the Asia-Pacific region.

According to Peter Kim, chief digital officer, Cheil Worldwide, the partnership signifies the agency's aim to play a stronger role in producing mobile-led marketing campaigns. Mobile app usage grew 76 per cent in 2014, and apps generated the most revenue in Japan, South Korea and the United States in 2014.

“As our technology partner of choice in mobile CRM, Appboy extends our technology capabilities,” said Kim. “We now offer access to a platform that not only enhances global mobile marketing campaigns but also automates the processes and increases engagement levels. This partnership is going to enable our clients to seamlessly connect with consumers, across all digital media.”

According to the agency, Appboy’s platform can translate both in and outside-app messaging into over 1,000 languages and give marketers the ability to execute on “personalised, global campaigns without developer assistance”.

“Given their history of building strong connections with companies across the globe, Cheil Worldwide is an ideal partner for Appboy as our clients continue to penetrate the Asian markets,” said Mark Ghermezian, CEO and co-founder of Appboy.
