Kalbe Nutritionals appoints Bounche to boost social media strategy

INDONESIA - FMCG company Kalbe Nutritionals has picked independent digital shop Bounche to handle its social media strategy for infant milk brand Morinaga and health snack Fitbar.

According to Majin Mahidin, the agency's chief executive and co-founder, the company held a pitch that included three undisclosed agencies. While he did not reveal the marketing budget for Morinaga, Mahidin estimates spend for Fitbar, a newly launched brand to be about US$300,000 a year.

Launched in 2010, the Jakarta-based agency is focused on digital and performance marketing. Its other services include social media and website and mobile app development.Social media is booming in Indonesia and our goal is to help brands adapt quickly, said Mahidin.

The agency counts Pfizer, Samsung, Acer and Fitness First amongst its key clients in the country.
