Cluck takes over the Japan and Korea role from James Greet, who left Mindshare earlier this year and took the job as CEO of STW Group's Ikon Communications in July.

Cluck will work with Linda Lee, MD of Mindshare Japan, and Jeeyoung Kwak, GM of Mindshare Korea, to develop Mindshare’s offering and focus on global clients in the two markets. He will report to Ashutosh Srivastava, chairman and CEO for APAC, Russia and emerging markets.

Cluck joined Mindshare in 2007. He was instrumental in rolling out Mindshare’s adaptive planning process, the Original Thinking Framework, across North Asia, according to the agency. He will focus on rolling out the same approach in Japan and Korea, and on strengthening the agency's performance marketing, social and analytics capabilities.

Mindshare clients in Japan include LVMH, Dyson, Jaguar Land Rover and IBM.

"For the past several years, I’ve really been privileged to work with some of the smartest, most passionate, most innovative thinkers in the APAC region," Cluck said. "And I’m really looking forward to help continue to drive Mindshare’s vision on adaptive marketing forward."

Srivastava said Cluck has played an invaluable part in building Mindshare's products and services across the region, and will work with Lee and Kwak to "make Mindshare the leading international media agency in their markets”.
