Now in its 48th year, the Andy Awards were established by the Advertising Club of New York. The global creative awards recognise the "contributions of individuals and companies who create the work and encourage raising the standards of craftsmanship in the industry.
The awards are judged by a jury comprised of internationally renowned creative directors. This year's jury included Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and regional executive creative director, McCann Erickson (Asia Pacific).
At this year's awards, Leo Burnett Worldwide was the most awarded network with 17 Andy Awards. The agency's Asia-Pacific offices also led the region with seven awards, including a Gold in graphic design for Leo Burnett Sydney's in-house creative 'Apple Box'.
Y&R led the region in Golds with George Patterson Y&R Melbourne 'Game Signatures' campaign for AFL winning gold in the events and promotional items category. Y&R Malaysia took home two silvers for its print work for Penguin Books for the categories Newspapers, Illustration and Newspapers, Entertainment.
Finally, JWT Shanghai won gold once again for its Heaven & Hell print campaign for Samsonite in the Illustration category.
