Sane confirmed the news, but could not say where his next position of employment would be.

Sane joined Starcom MediaVest Group in August 2005. Based in Hong Kong, he has previously held roles as Starcom IP Asia's general manager, director of IP North Asia at SMV Group, CIM strategic director at Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific and at FCB in both Hong Kong and India.

"I have enjoyed my last five and a half years at SMG but there are always new things to learn and explore," said Sane. "I'm grateful to Starcom MediaVest Group for giving me the opportunity and freedom to shape strategy-led digital offers in Asia. These are exciting times for digital and it’s too hot for me not to take a shot at it. I'm standing at a crossroad of diverse digital opportunities with each one of them leading to exciting destinations. I'm looking forward to an amazing journey."
