Ogilvy's 360 Digital Influence boosts team in Australia

SYDNEY – Ogilvy PR’s 360 Digital Influence has strengthened its team in Australia with the appointment of Lucille Snape and Annie Hammel as digital strategists, and Koby Geddes as digital analyst.

Snape previously worked at Euro RSCG while Geddes was at OMD Australia. Hammel joins from her role as interactive media manager at Hachette Filipacchi Media in the US.

360 in Australia is expanding aggressively following the appointment of Brian Giesen in 2009 as director of digital strategy for Australia and Asia-Pacific.

“Since the appointment of Brian, our team has quickly grown to six specialists who are full-time social media practitioners,” said Graham White, Ogilvy 360 managing director in Australia.

“Consumers get social media. But companies, by contrast, have been playing catch up,” Giesen added.

“The good news is they’re learning fast that it’s not optional and that a comprehensive strategic approach to integrate social media is essential,” he said.

Giesen said the agency is expecting to make more hires in the near future.

In July, Ogilvy PR in Hong Kong appointed John Stauffer as its new regional strategy director.
