Clift, who was the first ever chief marketing officer at Unilever, has been responsible for a massive sea of change in marketing at the FMCG giant. He headed up a massive restructure which involved the company realigning its marketing activity under core messages such as Dove's 'Campaign for real beauty'.
Clift has had a number of senior roles at Unilever and was previously the chairman for personal care products of Unilever Latin America. He was appointed president of marketing for Unilever in 2001 before rising to the position of chief marketing officer and group vice president for personal care in 2005.
