UM bags $5 million Dutch Lady biz in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Dutch Lady, one of Malaysia's leading dairy brands, has appointed Universal McCann for its US$5 million media account following a four-way shootout which included MEC, Starcom and incumbent ZenithOptimedia.

The four agencies were shortlisted at the end of October following a first round of credentials presentations.

Although a UM spokesperson was unavailable for comment, sources close to the pitch confirmed that the IPG agency had bagged the dairy giant’s media business.
